The customer should be truthfully informed about the facts relating to the contractor's trade.

Money should not be the primary motivation in being a contractor, but pride and the joy of creation should be. A contractor should apply his or her skills for the betterment of the community.

A contractor should never take on a project where the objective for that project can not be achieved or for which the contractor lacks the skills.

Open and honest communication between the contractor and customer is essential to a successful project.

The initial price should not be the deciding factor in choosing a contractor, and that the real cost is measured in years.

No contractor should ever abandon industry standards and professionalism at the customer's request, but should continue to raise those existing standards even higher.
